Position Summary:
Futures Group is seeking a short term Qualitative Data Collection Specialist based in Nigeria to support the implementation of a training assessment that involves in-depth telephone interviews within Nigeria. The Qualitative Data Collection Specialist will be responsible for contacting potential interviewees, scheduling interviews to be conducted by skype or phone, and completing up to 50 interviews in line with the established protocol. The consultancy will occur in January 2014. Nigerian nationals are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
•Schedule and coordinate in-depth interviews
•Conduct in-depth interviews with training participants and record/take detailed notes
•Provide a summary of key themes with illustrative quotes and report documenting data collection
•Hold debriefing sessions with Futures Group staff
Qualifications:
•5 years of professional experience in public health and monitoring and evaluation programs, and knowledge of training programs
•Proven experience (minimum of 3 studies) conducting in-depth interviews
•Master’s degree in public health or community health, international development, monitoring and evaluation or other related field preferred
•Experience working with program financed by international donors, preferably USAID
•A team player, easy to work with and committed to deadlines and high quality work
